FAS Members,
We welcome your participation at the Fisheries Administration Section Meeting to be held Tuesday, March 21st in Columbus, Ohio in conjunction with (but separate from) the 71st North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference (21-25 March). The FAS meeting on Tuesday will be held at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Wildlife District One office located at 1500 Dublin Road (see http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/wildlife/Contact/d1.htm). We are still seeking agenda items of importance to you. We will be discussing the National Fish Habitat Initiative, the North American Agenda for Aquatic Resources (NAAAR), and the National Aquatic Animal Health Plan among other important topics. On Wednesday morning March 22nd, those who wish to register for the North American conference will want to attend a special session entitled From Landscapes to Riverscapes: Adding Fish to the Mainstream of Wildlife Habitat Initiatives will be presented as part of the North American. For those of you who have not yet been contacted, the National Fish Habitat Initiative (NFHI) Core Work Group is seeking review and comment on the latest draft of the National Fish Habitat Action Plan. This February 10, 2006 draft reflects input provided by partners and stakeholders and can be viewed at http://fishhabitat.org/plan/. The deadline for your comments on the revised draft is February 22, 2006.
