FAS Members,
The National Fish Habitat Action Plan Partnership Workshop sponsored by the American Fisheries Society and other sponsors was attended by more than 120 individuals in Lake Placid, NY last month. Participants had the opportunity to individually respond by computer input to a series of questions about fish habitat partnerships following introductory presentations. The feedback provided by individual participants, along with a draft preliminary summary of key issues extracted from participant comments (prepared by the facilitators), is posted on line (http://fishhabitat.org/_AFS/default.htm) in a word document for you to download and review. The background PowerPoint presentation has also been posted on this site.
There was insufficient time at the end of the workshop to allow participants to review all of the respondent information and the initial draft summary comments prepared by the facilitators. Therefore, the workshop steering committee requests workshop attendees comment on the accuracy of content and summary information posted on this web site by October 23. Also, please identify any projects that should be addressed by NFHAP that have not been previously listed. A final version of this product will be completed and provided to the National Fish Habitat Board and other interested stakeholders at the end of October.
Instructions for submitting your comments are included within the word document posted on the web site.
After addressing your feedback, the AFS committee also hopes to eventually publish a final version of the workshop outputs in addition to posting on the web. Thank you again for your participation and for your assistance with this additional request.
