KY
Chapter President Report:
President
Oster discussed several issues needing to be reviewed by the chapter.
-
President
Oster informed the chapter that the Tennessee Chapter AFS expressed interest
in a joint meeting for next year. The
meeting would be held in Tennessee, possibly at a state park near Nashville.
Chapter members expressed the need for this meeting to be near the
border so that the majority of membership would have an opportunity to
attend. Dave Dreves made a
motion that the chapter pursues a joint meeting with the Tennessee Chapter
AFS for next year. Sherry Harrel seconded the motion. Motion carried.
-
President
Oster informed the chapter that the AFS had contacted him concerning the
possibility of the chapter submitting a bid for the 2009 National AFS
meeting. Currently, the
membership felt they did not have the manpower to complete such a commitment
at this time.
-
President
Oster discussed the need to increase the chapter’s annual dues to $5.00.
After some discussion, Dave Dreves made a motion to increase the
chapter dues from $2.00 to $5.00. Don
Bunnell seconded the motion. Motion
carried.
-
Finally,
President Oster discussed the possibility of the chapter adopting a stream. Dave Dreves made a motion for the chapter to adopt a
portion of Elkhorn Creek, Franklin County, Kentucky, near Sullivan Lane
Bridge. Neil Jackson seconded
the motion. Motion carried.

adopted segment of stream.
