The Organization for Louisiana's Fisheries Professionals and Students

Since 1979

WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE!

The American Fisheries Society is the oldest and largest organization dealing with conservation and management of our precious fisheries resources. The Louisiana Chapter of the American Fisheries Society continuously strives to influence and improve fisheries and aquaculture in Louisiana through research and communication.  Our membership draws from a diverse group, including students (undergraduate and graduate), fisheries professionals, and university professors, and we encourage all concerned individuals to join us!
