The Texas Chapter and Southern Division of the American Fisheries Society invites you to join us in San Antonio, Texas at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for the 2006 Southern Division Spring Meeting, 8-12 February 2006.

Symposia at a Glance

Red Snapper - A 3-day symposium highlighting the ecology and management of this ecologically and economically important species.

Applications of GIS in Fisheries - Applications of GIS and spatial analyses in fisheries research and management will be presented to assist in the display, management, and analysis of geospatial data.

Catfish Management - Highlighting some current research and some changing management philosophies/approaches to catfish management.

Trout Fisheries in Regulated Rivers - Covering a variety of topics related to the biology/management of habitat, fish, and anglers of tailwater trout fisheries.

Urban Fisheries -Highlighting programs, techniques, and recruitment methods used by various state agencies to develop urban fisheries.

Instream Flows - Discussion of the science, direction, and implementation of instream flow programs throughout southeastern U.S.
