Student Mentor Lunch
The Student Affairs Committee of the Southern Division of the American Fisheries Society has encouraged the interaction between students and fisheries professionals through a Student Mentor Lunch. We will continue this tradition at the 2009 Spring Meeting at noon on Saturday, January 17. If you are interested in being paired with a Mentor for lunch that day, please email Steve Lochmann, the Chair of the Student Affairs Committee.

Student Rooms
The Southern Division of the American Fisheries has a limited number of complimentary student rooms available for the 2009 Spring Meeting (January 16-18) at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans. Rooms are available for 2 nights (Jan 16, & 17). If students are interested in taking advantage of these rooms, please contact Steve Lochmann, the Chair of the Student Affairs Committee. These rooms will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. In exchange for free lodging, Steve is requesting assistance at the meeting with organizing the student-mentor luncheon. At the meeting, there will be a student affairs table set up near the registration desk. Steve will arrange times for workers to occupy the table to answer questions about the luncheon.
