2008 Annual Meeting

The North Carolina Chapter of the American Fisheries Society announces that the 2008 annual meeting will be held at the City Hotel and Bistro in Greenville, NC on Monday, February 18 to Wednesday, February 20, 2008. The meeting will feature a continuing education workshop, technical sessions, the annual business meeting, and evening socials.

Registration and lodging updates will be posted as they become available.

We will be sending additional information and updates as plans progress, but mark your calendar now, and plan to join us for a great meeting in 2008!

Motel Registration Details

Please make your room reservation and submit your meeting registration now for the 2008 NCAFS chapter meeting.  The deadline for making reservations at the City Hotel and Bistro has been extended to Monday February 4, and the deadline for meeting registration is Friday February 8

Room reservations can be made now at the City Hotel and Bistro. A block of rooms has been established with a room rate of $89.00 per night. The room rate includes a complimentary breakfast buffet for hotel guests. This rate is good through February 8. Please call the hotel at 252-355-8300 or 877-271-2616 to reserve your room now. To learn more about the hotel facilities, please visit its website (www.cityhotelandbistro.com). The Chapter will reimburse student chapter members 50% of the lodging costs.

Registration Forms

Registration forms are now available for the 2008 NCAFS chapter meeting in Greenville, February 18-20. Meeting registration is $20 for professionals and $10 for students. Registration for the Continuing Education Workshop “Fish Consumption Advisories: Sampling to Implementation” will be $10 for professionals and free for students. Please complete the registration form and return it to Brian McRae by February 8. Pre-registering is important to help the EXCOM organize the Continuing Education Workshop, socials, and breaks.

Note: The Chapter will subsidize 50% of the lodging costs for student members of the North Carolina Chapter. Please send a copy of the hotel receipt to the Secretary/Treasurer and the Chapter member listed on the receipt will receive a reimbursement check.
