Crayfish Workshop:
On February 21, 2002, the Nongame Aquatics Committee hosted a crayfish workshop at the SDAFS Midyear Meeting in Little Rock, AR. The workshop, conducted by Bob DiStefano of the Missouri Department of Conservation, was very well recieved, and with 35 attendees was the top-booked workshop of the conference. Bob focused on various aspects of crayfish biology, distribution, ecology, and taxonomy, and attendees were encouraged to stay after the seminar to key out some actual specimens. The crayfish workshop was just one highlight of what turned out to be a strong nongame showing at the meeting.
