The Oklahoma Chapter of American Fisheries Society (OKAFS) hosted a Pond Workshop on March 21, 2008 for those interested in pond construction or management. The workshop covered pond design for new construction, aquatic vegetation management, fisheries management, potential benefits and design for other wildlife, and potential technical and financial assistance programs. Experts from Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and Natural Resource Conservation Service gave presentations (see below) and answered questions.
