Identified Needs

**AFS members please take a moment and look over the list of items that your colleagues have identified that need replacement due to the recent hurricanes.  If you can assist with any of these items, please contact Danielle Pender at danielle.pender@earthlink.net.  Your donation is greatly appreciated.**

Please note that the Distribution Center will stop accepting donations as of 1 May 2007.

Laboratory equipment

• Specimen jars
• Microscopes
• Cleaning supplies
• Disinfectant supplies
• Laboratory gowns

Water quality

• YSI w/ a 100ft. cord w/ temp., salinity, and DO probes
• Water test kits - those with seafood safety applications
• Aquaculture applications like pH, salinity, nitrites/ nitrates, ammonia, D.O./B.O.D.
• Water testing kit and oxygen meter

Field equipment

• Polarized Costa Del Mar Wavekiller sunglasses (approx. 12 pair) for spotting HAB's (Harmful Algal Blooms).
• Thermal laser guns

Books, teaching aids, and references

• Maps/charts relevant to Mississippi
• Fish and invertebrate keys
• AFS Fish slides - Gulf fishes

Misc.

• Misc. batteries (AA, C, D, etc.)
