Meeting Minutes – September 16-17, 2008 Cumberland Falls State Park, Kentucky
Tuesday, Sepember 16
The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. by Chairman Jeff Quinn (AR) and the meeting agenda, minutes from Wheeling, and Financial Statement were distributed.
A. Introduction of Committee Members & Guests
5 committee members were in attendance: Chairman Jeff Quinn, Secretary-Treasurer Kin Hodges (NC), Eric Cummins (KY), Chris Thomason (SC), and Jason Heneger (TN). Also present as guests were Bryan Kalb and John Pike (Duke Energy), John Willimas (KY), David Long (AR), Dan Figert (KDFWR), Jeff Sole (KYTNC). It was determined that a quorum did not exist.
B1. Approval of Agenda
The meeting agenda written by Chairman Jeff Quinn was approved.
B2. Secretary’s Report and Approval of Minutes
Secretary- A motion was made to adopt the minutes and the motion passed. Since a quorum did not exist, these minutes should be formally approved in New Orleans.
B3. Treasurer’s Report
Secretary-Treasurer Kin Hodges distributed and reviewed the Financial Statement. We have $6,879.98 in our account, and we donated $2,000 to the IFC Flow 2008 meeting in San Antonio.
B4. Chairman’s Report
Chairman Jeff Quinn reported that the Farm Bill workshop originally planned for the Wheeling meeting had to be cancelled after an insufficient number of speakers were able to attend the meeting. The workshop will be postponed and held at a future meeting.
C. Old Business
C1. Jimmie Pigg Memorial Outstanding Student Achievement Award
We decided to ask Paul to write up a biography of Jimmie Pigg.C2. Warmwater Streams Video Update
Each state representative should burn DVD’s for their educational contacts.C3. Upcoming Workshops/Symposia
We agreed to have a 1-day stream sampling symposia in 2010 at the Ashville, North Carolina meeting.
D. New Business
D1. Lack of Attendance/Renew our roster
It was decided to renew of membership list by asking the Fish Chiefs to make assignments to the committee.
